Brand pronunciation

In a spot you can tell the voice which language the brand name is in and how it is pronounced. Listen to the same spot with and without these fields.

Comparison

With and without the brand fields

In the spot form you can enter the language of the brand name and how it is pronounced. If you leave these fields empty, the brand is pronounced the way we are used to hearing it (recommended for well-known brands); if you fill them in, you ask for a precise pronunciation, which the voice tries to follow but cannot always guarantee. Example: Voxelle, a brand with a French name, requested pronunciation vok-SÈL.

A

Voxelle spot with the brand fields

FYNQ Studio plan Italian Voice: Livia
0:18
What to notice

“Voxelle” is an invented brand with a French name. With the fields filled in, the French pronunciation “vok-SÈL” is requested: the voice follows it, stressing the last syllable.

VS
B

Voxelle spot without the brand fields

FYNQ Studio plan Italian Voice: Livia
0:19
What to notice

The same text, with the “Language of the brand name” and “How the brand is pronounced” fields left empty: the voice pronounces the brand the way that comes naturally. Here it still reads it the French way. Compare it with the spot with the fields filled in.
