Museum Audio Guides for Towns and Tourist Sites

A local museum, a town council or a visitor centre almost always has the right texts already: gallery panels, leaflets, heritage notes. What is missing is the time and budget to turn them into audio guides in three or four languages, and to update them when a room or a route changes. With Fynqcast you build the guide stop by stop from those texts and get audio files you can publish wherever you like.
What you can do with Fynqcast
- Use a dedicated category. FYNQ Studio has Tourism & Guides, designed for museums, monuments, city walks, events and fairs, food and wine trails, parks and hospitality.
- Start from your own texts. Upload a PDF, DOCX or TXT file, or paste the text: once you have checked it, it is read exactly as written.
- Let the guide be written, with your facts first. With Create with AI you enter the place, its type, the city or area, the audience (families, adults, schools, experts) and your own information, which always takes precedence. At the Advanced level you list up to 50 stops in route order and add historical information, anecdotes and practical information to read out; Studio gathers verifiable facts about the place and shows you the sources it found, which are never read aloud.
- Get several languages from one text. With Translate and read you turn the approved version into another language, with a list of proper names to keep unchanged and a mandatory glossary. Audio is available in eight languages: English, Italian, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese and Arabic.
- Choose one or two voices from the stock voices, with a listening sample. You can also give the voice an emotion.
- Download ready files: MP3, or WAV or M4A, plus SRT subtitles, which also work as a transcript for visitors who prefer to read.
How it works
- Open Studio and choose Tourism & Guides. The Studio tab is in your dashboard on the plans that include it.
- Choose how to start: PDF, DOCX or TXT, Paste your text or Create with AI. The maximum duration runs from 30 seconds to 60 minutes.
- Create one production per stop. That gives you one file per stop. Give each a title with the stop number and name: the title becomes the name of the downloaded file.
- Review and approve. If a sentence doesn't work, rewrite just that part by saying how it should change. Nothing is generated until you confirm you have checked the text.
- Generate, download and publish. Upload the files to the museum's or the town's website and create the QR codes for your signs yourself. Fynqcast produces the audio and subtitles; the QR codes and the page that hosts the files are up to you.
An example: the Rocca Velina village trail
The village and its sites are fictional. The tourist office has a leaflet with six stops and wants the audio guide in Italian, English and German: eighteen productions with the same title pattern.
| Stop | Production title | Languages |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 01-salt-gate | IT, EN, DE |
| 2 | 02-church-of-san-lino | IT, EN, DE |
| 3 | 03-wash-house | IT, EN, DE |
| 4 | 04-clock-tower | IT, EN, DE |
| 5 | 05-viewpoint | IT, EN, DE |
| 6 | 06-market-square | IT, EN, DE |
Excerpt from stop 3, one voice:
You are standing in front of the old wash house, the low building with the stone basins. Until the nineteen-sixties, the women of the village came here to do their washing. The water still comes from the spring above the village, which is why you can hear it running even in August. Look at the edge of the largest basin: the grooves in the stone were worn by decades of laundry. When you are ready, take the steps on your left. Stop four is the clock tower.
That is just under 90 words, well under a minute of listening. In the translation settings, "Rocca Velina", "Pieve di San Lino" and "Porta del Sale" go into the proper names to keep unchanged. On the sign at each stop, the tourist office prints the number, the name, its own QR code and one line: "Voices generated with artificial intelligence".
Who it's for
- Local and small museums that want a guide in several languages without building an app.
- Councils, tourist offices and heritage groups with town-centre walks, trails or themed routes.
- Heritage sites, parks, wineries and hospitality venues that welcome visitors from abroad.
What changes day to day: nothing becomes audio without your approval, when a room changes you regenerate only that stop, and every language uses the same proper names.
Frequently asked questions
Does Fynqcast also create the QR codes or host the audio guide? No. Fynqcast produces the audio files and subtitles. You publish them, for example on a page of your website, and generate the QR codes with the tool you prefer.
Can the AI get a date or a name wrong? Your own information always takes precedence. At the Simple level the guide is written from the general knowledge of the AI and Studio asks you to check the facts; at the Advanced level it uses the facts it gathered plus your information, and shows you the sources. Either way, you review and approve the text before the audio. If you want full control, upload or paste your own text: it is read exactly as written.
Can we use the voice of our museum director? Yes, if she clones her own voice from her own account, on a plan that includes Studio and cloned voices. She must be an adult, hold an identity document issued by an EU member state, pass the identity verification and give her consent, choosing the languages the voice may speak. Another person's voice cannot be cloned. Every audio with a cloned voice opens with the spoken notice "Voice cloned with AI."
